Living virtually is an all-encompassing existence, with avatars being the ‘other you’ in the virtual space, where online gaming is inseparable from an online existence. In this short hypothetical future timeline, that theme is transferred into a sociopolitical domain. The virtual environment, where social interactions, news, entertainment, reading, research, education, medical information, banking and consumerism all take place all combine to help increase the divide between what it means to be American and what it means to be a virtual citizen.
